Check USDT Before Sending It to an Exchange
Contents

Before you send USDT to an exchange or accept it in a P2P deal, run an AML check of the sender's address on matrimix.net/aml-check: paste the address, pay a small invoice in USDT and get a 0–100 risk score, risk sources and an OFAC sanctions check on the same page. No account, no registration — and the report link stays with you.

Why exchanges freeze deposits

Matrimix is a non-custodial crypto exchange aggregator and a wallet in Telegram. Swaps need no registration and every address is screened against sanctions lists. The wallet is custodial; transfers by Matrimix ID are free.

Large exchanges scan every incoming transaction with blockchain analytics. If the coins are linked to sanctioned addresses, darknet markets, scams, stolen funds or mixers, the deposit can be held and the exchange asks where the money came from. Sometimes this ends with a refund after questions, sometimes it takes weeks. What happens next is described in frozen coins: how to get a refund.

The same risk applies to USDT you receive from a buyer, a client or a stranger in a P2P deal. A one-minute check before the deal is much easier than explaining a frozen deposit after it.

You can see a full sample report on the AML check page before you pay anything.

How to check an address on the site

  1. Choose the network — USDT TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20, or BTC, ETH, TRX, USDC, BNB, LTC, SOL.
  2. Paste the address you want to check: the sender's, the buyer's or your own.
  3. Pay the invoice. The price is shown before you pay; you pay in USDT on TRC20, ERC20 or BEP20 through the payment page. A timer shows how long the invoice is valid.
  4. Read the report. It appears on the same page after the payment is confirmed. Save the link to come back to it later.

The same check is available in the Matrimix wallet in Telegram and in the web version, paid from the balance.

How to read the score

  • Low (0–30). Funds mostly from exchanges and ordinary wallets. Such coins are usually accepted without questions.
  • Medium (31–70). Noticeable links to P2P, gambling or unidentified services. An exchange may ask questions; keep proof of the deal.
  • High (71–90). A significant share from mixers, fraud or darknet. The risk of a freeze is real — think twice.
  • Critical (91–100). Direct links to sanctions, theft or ransomware. Better not to accept such coins.

Good to know

  • A score is a reference, not a verdict. It comes from a third-party blockchain analytics service and is not a guarantee or a legal opinion.
  • Exchanges use their own rules. A low score does not oblige any exchange to accept a deposit.
  • Not every coin can be scored. Monero is private by design; DOGE and TON are not covered by the analytics.
  • Your data. We keep the address and the result to show you the report; we do not ask for your name or email.
