Book Hotels and Airbnb With USDT via a Virtual Card
Book Booking.com, Airbnb and flights with a virtual card funded by USDT or USDC. How holds and deposits work, which card to pick, step by step.

Contents
To book a hotel, an Airbnb or a flight with crypto, issue a Matrimix virtual card, top it up with USDT or USDC from your wallet and pay at checkout like with any card. Booking.com, Airbnb, Trip.com, Expedia, Emirates and Ryanair accept it; the Hong Kong Mastercard also goes into Apple Pay and Google Pay for paying on the spot. Terms are on /cards.
How it works
Matrimix is a non-custodial crypto exchange aggregator and a wallet in Telegram. Swaps need no registration and every address is screened against sanctions lists. The wallet is custodial; transfers by Matrimix ID are free.
Travel sites charge cards, not crypto. The Matrimix card turns your stablecoins into a USD card balance:
- USDT or USDC go from the wallet to the card at 1:1; the top-up fee is shown before you confirm.
- You pay the booking with the card details or with Apple Pay and Google Pay.
- The hotel or airline sees a regular card payment in dollars or local currency.
Which card for travel
| Task | Singapore · Visa | Hong Kong · Mastercard |
|---|---|---|
| Booking.com, Airbnb | Yes | Yes |
| Trip.com, Expedia | Yes | Yes |
| Airlines (Emirates, Ryanair) | Yes | Yes |
| Uber, Grab | Yes | Yes |
| Apple Pay, Google Pay | Yes, plus Samsung Pay | Yes |
| Fee per purchase | None | Small fixed fee |
Both work for travel. The comparison and the reasons to hold both are in Singapore Visa or Hong Kong Mastercard.
Step by step: an Airbnb or hotel booking
- Fund the wallet with USDT on TRC20, TON, Solana, ERC20 or BEP20, or USDC on Solana or ERC20. Deposits are free.
- Issue the card in «Cards» and top it up with the booking amount plus a buffer for a hold.
- Enter the card at checkout: number, expiry and CVV from the app. If the form asks for a billing address, use an address in the card's issue region.
- Confirm with 3DS. The code arrives in the Matrimix bot; enter it only on the booking page.
- Keep the confirmation in your email or the booking app.
Holds, deposits and refunds
- Pre-authorisation. Some hotels check the card at booking with a small hold and charge the full amount at arrival. Keep the card funded until the stay is paid.
- Pay at the property. If you choose «pay at the hotel», the reception may ask for a physical card. Phone payment with Apple Pay or Google Pay usually works where contactless terminals exist; prepaid online is the reliable option.
- Cancellations. A refund from a merchant comes back to the card; the issuer withholds 8% of the refunded amount. Prefer flexible rates if your plans may change.
- Currency. The card balance is in US dollars; prices in euros, baht or dirhams are converted at the card network's rate.
Before you fly
- Mobile data on arrival. Buy a travel eSIM from the same balance; the QR code arrives right after payment. How to choose a plan: travel eSIM guide.
- Add the card to your phone before departure so you can pay for a taxi or coffee from the first minute.
- Top up in advance. A top-up takes a moment, but doing it at home over a stable connection is calmer.

FAQ
Can I pay for Airbnb with USDT?
Not directly: Airbnb takes cards. Fund a Matrimix virtual card with USDT or USDC and pay with it at checkout or through Apple Pay and Google Pay.
Will a hotel accept a virtual card?
Most hotels accept it for online prepayment. At the reception some properties ask for a physical card; pay online in advance or use Apple Pay or Google Pay where contactless payment is accepted.
What happens to a hold after check-out?
The hotel releases it, and the amount becomes available on the card again, usually within a few days depending on the hotel.
