How to keep a gift card code safe and avoid scams
Where Matrimix keeps your gift card code, how to redeem it, and the scams used to trick people into sharing codes.

Contents
A gift card code is the money itself: whoever redeems it first gets the value. In Matrimix the code is stored encrypted and shown only to the order owner under Profile → Purchases, and it is never sent into a chat. The main rule: share the code with no one before you redeem it.
Where the code is kept
After payment the code is encrypted and saved with the order. To see it, open Profile → Purchases, pick the order and tap "Show code". One tap copies it.
We never send codes in bot messages and never ask you to send them to us — so anyone who does ask is not us.
How to redeem
- App Store — App Store → profile photo → Redeem Gift Card or Code.
- Google Play — Google Play → profile → Payments & subscriptions → Redeem gift code.
- PlayStation — PlayStation Store → menu → Redeem codes.
- Xbox — microsoft.com/redeem or the console store.
The account region must match the card region, or redemption fails.
Before you buy
Make sure the card region matches your account and that you are buying the right brand — an App Store card can't be used in Google Play and vice versa. If in doubt, check the account's country in its settings first.
Scam patterns
- "Send me the code to verify it" — from "sellers", "buyers" and fake "support". Real support never asks for a code.
- "Pay a tax or fine with gift cards" — no government agency or bank does that.
- "Selling below face value" in chats — often already-used codes.
FAQ
The code won't redeem — what now?
Check the account region and that the code has no spaces. If that doesn't help, contact Matrimix support from the Mini App with the order number.
Can I see the code again?
Yes, it stays in the order under Purchases and only you can open it.
